Statue of Meir Dizengoff who as the head of the first Jewish sovereign body sought to lay the foundations of the modern Israeli nation. Behind the statue is Independence Hall (historic home of Meir & Zina Dizengoff) where on May 14 1948 the heads of the Jewish community gathered for the ceremony establishing the State of Israel.

Carmel market in Tel Aviv
A traditional herbs pharmacy in Tel Aviv
This is an old (approx. 400 years) sandstone building, but it is not biblical old. However, from local lore this is "known" to be the location where the Apostle Peter raised Tabitha from the dead and had his famous vision from Acts 10:15
The Port of Jaffa is the location where the story of Jonah and the Whale is said to have occurred and this whale fountain in Jaffa is a tribute to this event.

This is the church in Capharnaum (The town of Jesus) over the archeological site that is said to have been the house of Peter's family by the Sea of Galilee where Jesus stayed at the start of his ministry
A look under the church in Capharnaum (the church is suspended above) at the actual archeological site that is said to have been the house of Peter's family
Statue for Matthew 16:18 - Upon this rock I will build my church
Entrance to Tabgha, Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter
A look inside Tabgha Church (Where Jesus confirms of the primacy of Peter). Outside there is a banner celebrating 800 (1219-2019) years since the pilgrimage of peace of St Francis to the Holy Land however this church building is certainly not that old.
In this photo my back foot is submerged in the Sea of Galilee. Not planned that way, I backed up toward the edge of the water until my foot squished into the pebble beach and submerged my shoe.

Old Jerusalem by Dormition Abbey
Dormition Abbey in old Jerusalem
The location is in old Jerusalem, and according to tales of the Crusaders (many, many years after the fact), this room is said to have been the location where Jesus and the disciples had the Last Supper.
A view of the opposite side of the room that the Crusaders claimed to have been the location where Jesus and the disciples had the Last Supper.
Old Jerusalem, above the reported location of the last supper room this view is looking towards Mount of Olives. Note the tower seen in this picture should be the Church of the Ascension, said to mark the location where Jesus ascended to Heaven from Mount of Olives as described in Acts 1:11-12
Old Jerusalem, below the reported location of the last supper room this is reported to be the entrance to the tomb of King David.
Inside the alleged tomb of King David. Well, the women's side anyway, the men see what is on the other side of that partition in the lower right of the picture
Zion gate where we enter to go to the Western (Wailing) Wall.
Old Jerusalem, the square in the Jewish Quarter
Looking towards the Western (Wailing) Wall on the stairs down to it from the Jewish Quarter
Myself on the women's side of the Western (Wailing) Wall. Yes, although it is quite crowded on the women's side, I did have the opportunity to touch the wall and offer a prayer.
A broader picture of the Western (Wailing) Wall. Note it is much more crowded on the women's (right) site than the men's (left) side.
Randon photo from Jerusalem
The street name here is Via Dolorosa, and this building has some story about a handprint associated with it
This is said to be the street up which Jesus wore the crown of thorns and carried the cross on the way to crucifixion (building from previous photo is directly to the left of this one)
Entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The church said to mark the location where Jesus Christ was supposedly crucified, buried, and then resurrected.
A peek inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (just beyond the door). Sorry, while there was much more to see in here, the place was literally packed wall-to-wall with people, so I wasn't able to get much more than this for worthwhile pictures.
